SPB Race Parts was born out of my frustration at not being able to buy the parts I needed for my own project car. As my car isn't usually a basis for a modified vehicle (1967 Lotus Elan) I had to resort to designing and either making or getting made the parts I required.
This got me to thinking that I can't be the only person out there with this problem. Although a very narrow market, I hope to be able to help the true speed junkies trying to squeeze the last ounce (or gram) of performance from their car, be it shaving a fifth of a second off their lap time, a tenth off their 1/4 mile time or an extra mph on a high speed run.
So, this site specialises in ways to make your car faster once you have done all of the easy, off the shelf, stuff. Here you will find, for example, aluminium rod ends, titanium bolts along with bespoke design and fabrication services along with carbon fibre rods and tubes. We also offer lightening of existing items such as pulleys and bolts, in fact anything you would like a few grams removed from.
Other products we offer include an adjustable (from the cockpit) clutch engagement valve, designed to reduce the shock loading when dumping the clutch from a standing start.
I started modifying cars when I was 18, that was 45 years ago, so you are not dealing with a young, know it all, spotty little upstart :-)
Everything I do is based on the KISS mantra (Keep It Simple, Stupid). No gilding the lily here and everything must have at least one performance enhancing purpose.
Whilst every care is taken to ensure modifed and manufactured components are of the highest quality and usually stronger than parts they replace, no guarantee is given as to their suitability for the use you plan for them as I have no control over this.
Racing exerts a great deal more stress on components than normal driving so breakages are more likely.
It is your responsibility to make sure that the parts supplied by us, whether designed to your specifiaction or not, are suitable for the use, and abuse, you plan to put them to.
All parts supplied, manufactured or modifed by us are for explicit use on race cars driven on private race tracks only.
